Osteopathic treatment recognises the importance of the link between the structure of the human body and the way it functions, and so focuses on the body's skeleton and joint function, along with the underlying muscles, soft tissue and internal organs.
Treatment usually consists of a combination of gentle soft tissue releasing techniques, along with specific adjustments and manipulation of affected joints. It is highly personalised to the individual and aims to work with the body to create the perfect conditions to facilitate the healing process.

Osteopaths undertake a rigorous 4-5 year medical degree in order to acquire and maintain their registration with their statutory body, the General Osteopathic Council.
David Hayward, whose family has lived in Frome for over twenty years, graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2007 after five years study of anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal dysfunctions and osteopathic principles and techniques.
He has completed postgraduate courses in both Cranial and Functional Osteopathy. He currently lives with his wife and family just outside Bath, and also practices in clinics in both Bath and Bridgwater.
Osteopathy available on Monday afternoons and tuesday and Thursday all day.
