I’ve always loved dancing. I did ballet classes from the age of 6 until 13 until I discovered other styles of dance which didn’t involve going up on the points of my feet!
In 2006 I completed the Dance in the Community Diploma at Laban in London, where I trained to teach creative dance to children and adults and I’ve been working as a freelance community dance artist since then.
I’m also a dance artist for the Participatory Arts Workshop Scheme (PAWS) in Wiltshire and have delivered dance projects to children in schools, after school clubs and holiday play schemes.
I love all sorts of dance, particularly Contemporary, African and Salsa, all of which I’ve taught.
I’m also a qualified and experienced English as a Second Language teacher and am very interested in making connections between dance and language. I’ve delivered dance and language projects and recently set up an ESOL and Dance course at Wiltshire College.
