Delma Ralston started practicing Pilates over 20 years ago when she lived in Cyprus under the instruction of an ex-Yugoslavian gymnast who was fully trained in the classical Joseph Pilates repertoire.
When she returned to the UK in 2000 she took up competitive running but after a couple of years a herniated disc forced her to stop. After undergoing numerous treatments and therapies without any real improvement, she returned to Pilates which quickly restored her body to a fit, injury-free state.
In 2003 she decided to train to become an instructor herself to enable her to share the amazing benefits of Pilates with others and went on to train with Michael King at the Pilates Institute in London. Her main focus is on injury prevention, rehabilitation and fitness. Through her teaching and personal experience, she has made a significant difference to the lives of others showing how our bodies can bounce back, stronger and more balanced than ever before, regardless of age or physical limitations.
Additionally, Delma has just completed a two year course, qualifying as a Specialist Biomechanics Coach. This will further enhance her ability to work with clients promoting strong, aligned bodies.
