Krishnamacharya. His students developed their own styles of which include Iyengar Yoga, Astanga Yoga and Viniyoga. Vinyasa Yoga combines elements of all these practices and weaves the body, the breath and the mind into unison. The relationship between the movement and the breath becomes one. The breath takes control and the movement is allowed to flow like a dance. For class information please call Lisa Butler on 01373 834 834 Yoga over 60As the body ages, ligaments and tendons change and this can lead to decreased flexibility and restricted joint movement, which makes everyday tasks such as climbing stairs and getting in and out of the car more difficult. Similarly, the instability in joints can lead to falls and injuries. Even if you have never tried yoga, my classes will help you to make changes that will have preventative effects and a life-changing influence on your body and self awareness. We will improve our balance, promote flexible, healthy joints and strengthen the muscles around those joints for better stability. Using breathing and relaxation we will encourage lower blood pressure, reduce stress and encourage a more balanced approach to life. For class information please call Ben Parkes on 07850 465 419 |
